Description:

The Battle of Kursk looks eastward to profile the clash between Germany and the Soviet Union, portraying the battle as a back-and-forth struggle between superior training and equipment on one side and sheer numbers of soldiers on the other. The film uses onscreen statistic infographics and first-person primary source material to paint a more personal, complete picture of the battle and what it meant to the USSR and to Germany. One of four videos showcasing pivotal aerial campaigns of World War II in the Flying Heritage Collection’s Battlefront Theater.
