MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND INDUSTRY,
SEATTLE, WA

Objective:

Show the breadth and impact of Northwest musicians both locally and internationally.

Services:

Scriptwriting, audio and video production.

Description:

Visitors may be surprised to learn that Seattle’s music scene went global before the 1990s Grunge era. Northwest music sounds reverberated around the world from the rock n’ roll teen band sound of the 1950s, the “Louie Louie” craze, and 1960s psychedelic bands and the international sensation Jimi Hendrix. This film selects a handful of Seattle musicians and groups starting in the 1950s through the current music scene who achieved national and international recognition, putting Seattle on the map of the music world. Visitors discover that many of their favorite musicians are from this area.
