“Rise of the Machines”

NEW MEXICO MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY AND SCIENCE,
ALBUQUERQUE, NM

Objective:

Tell the story of the rapid development of the personal computer between 1975 and 1981 and the spirited computer culture that changed our world.

Services:

Concept development, environment design, scriptwriting, video and motion graphic production, lighting, sound design, A/V systems and software development.

Description:

Chattering microcomputers in cases surround the audience, bragging and arguing with one another, literally catching visitors in the middle of a discussion evocative of the Homebrew Computer Club. A lively “quadraphonic” soundtrack vibrates visitors’ seats with ’70s and ‘80s music to further complete the transportation back in time.
