Matt Kuphaldt


Matt is a multi-disciplinary, Seattle-based artist with experience in graphic design, animation, and illustration. He has both web and interactive expertise along with strong print skills with mastery of Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign. He is currently part of WEATHERHEAD’s concept development team for phase two of the Living Computer Museum (LCM) expansion in Seattle, WA. In addition to serving as graphic design, Matt has parlayed his interest in and love of computer gaming into developing PC gaming content for WEATHERHEAD’s project with LCM. Prior to working on the LCM project, Matt was part of WEATHERHEAD’s design team, providing look and feel, storyboards, art, and UI for several multimedia interactives at the Museum of History & Industry in Seattle, WA (opened in 2012) and the interactive “Catch the Rumrunners” game for a Prohibition traveling exhibition at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA (opened in 2012).

As owner of Spektakle Artistic Services, Matt provides animation, illustration and graphic design services to various clients, including T-Mobile and Microsoft. Matt was art lead, animator, and graphic designer at Martini Design for such clients as Microsoft, Nickelodeon, Midway Games, and Concur Travel & Expense, and he also spent four years at Humongous Entertainment (now Atari) where he worked as an animator, mini-game designer, and concept artist. Matt holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design and Illustration from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.
